The updated Vietnam National Report has recently been published in the International Handbook on Commercial Arbitration Supplement 115 by the ICCA and Kluwer Law International in March 2021.

The Vietnam National Report has been published for the first time in 2012 and then annually updated by Hew Dundas and the key members of arbitration team of Dzungsrt & Associates LLC, being Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang and Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Anh.

By analyzing basic principles applicable to both domestic and international arbitration and comparing them with international arbitral regulations, the Report provides the understandings of the Vietnamese arbitration regime, its achievements and shortcomings. In particular, the Report concerns arbitration agreement, arbitrators, arbitral procedure, arbitral award, enforcement and means of recourse. A list of high-quality literature on Vietnamese arbitration is also digested for readers’ reference. We hope our Report can be of great help to those who want to learn more about and improve arbitration in Vietnam.
